Energy Secretary Rick Perry Stepping Down December 1st

(Washington, DC) — December 1st will be Energy Secretary Rick Perry’s final day on the job.

The former Texas governor is leaving the Energy Department amid the House Democratic impeachment inquiry into President Trump. Perry stated that he wanted to spend more time with his family in his home state of Texas as his reason for leaving the Trump Administration.

Last week, Perry refused to comply with a House subpoena as part of the impeachment inquiry.
