(Dallas, TX)  —  The Insurance Council of Texas says the tornado that hit Dallas on Sunday was one of the costliest in Texas history.

The destruction or damage to homes, vehicles, and businesses adds up to an estimated two-billion-dollar loss.  The hardest hit area was the exclusive Preston Hollow neighborhood, where several pro athletes live, as well as George and Laura Bush, whose home wasn’t damaged.  Several other North Texas towns were hit as nine twisters touched down.

There were no deaths, but many residents are displaced.
