(Joshua, Tx) – The City of Joshua has terminated City Secretary Lisa Cabrera.

According to the Cleburne Times Review, during an executive session of the City Council meeting earlier this month to review the evaluation performance for Cabrera, the Council voted to terminate her from her job.  She had held the post since February 2016.  Joshua City Manager Josh Jones said according to the city’s charter, the council has the authority to appoint or terminate the secretary.

Jones adds the City has begun the search for Cabrera’s replacement.  Joshua Fire Chief Wayne Baker announced his retirement last week.
