(Fort Worth, TX) — Tarrant County officials are reporting some problems with the county’s new voting machines.

Some three-thousand new electronic voting machines were used in Tuesday’s election for the first time.  The machines allow voters to review a printed confirmation of their ballot.  But County Judge Glen Whitely says some of the machines had scanning and printing problems in at least two voting locations.  In addition, more than 50 polling places had problems with their Wi-Fi connectivity.

Fort Worth Councilman Joel Burns tweeted he was disappointed by the broken equipment and claimed the county bought already-dated voting equipment.
