Voters Say Yes To Multiple Bond Proposals Across North Texas

(Fort Worth, Tx.) –  Schools were the big winners in Tuesday’s election.

Alvarado voters passed an $11.15 million bond package to build an addition onto the current junior high as the district plans to realign the grades.

Aledo ISD’s $149.9 million bond proposal for two new schools and upgrades to existing campuses was approved by 69% of the voters.

Brock voters approved the $21.36 million bond proposal to fund improvements for classrooms, technology and security, plus new school buses for Brock ISD.

Azle ISD voters however, rejected a $79.8 million bond package that would expand the high school cafeteria and provide for improvements for several extracurricular activities.

Joshua voters said yes to a $3.9 million bond package for street improvements.

In other election news, Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett defeated challenger Joe Davis with 64% of the votes.
