Charles Schwab Buying TD Ameritrade, To Relocate To NTX

(Undated) — Charles Schwab is planning to buy TD Ameritrade and relocate to North Texas.

The companies announced the merger today saying it’s a unique opportunity to build a firm tailored to all kinds of investors. Schwab has a campus in Westlake which the company plans to move its headquarters to in the near future, from San Francisco. The merger could be finalized sometime next year.

The company says the move to North Texas will bring about 7,000 jobs to the area.
