(Dallas, TX) — Health officials are warning the public that flu season is off to an early start this year in North Texas.
One County Health Director says flu is spreading earlier than usual so far this season. That could be trouble for people traveling this week for Thanksgiving. Over the past two weeks, more than 10% of flu tests have come back positive.
This year’s most commonly seen strain is the influenza B virus.
