(Fort Worth, Tx) – A group of homeless people were rescued by firefighters after their fire burned out of control inside an abandoned church building in South Fort Worth.

About Wednesday morning, Fort Worth Fire crews responded to a commercial fire on W. Fogg and Lipscomb Streets. When they arrived, they found several people trapped on the second floor of the building.  Firefighters quickly raised ladders and rescued 5 people from the windows. The fire was located on the first floor and was quickly extinguished.  No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.

Fire officials say this isn’t the first time they’ve had issues at this building.
