(Undated)  —  “A Christmas Story” is ranked as the most popular holiday movie in Texas and 23 other states.

The 1983 film didn’t do well in theaters but has become a classic over the years thanks to TV showings and home video.  It beat out 54 other Christmas movies to take the top spot on a list from the lifestyle website House Method.  They surveyed nearly five-thousand people in each state.

Coming in second is “Elf,” followed by “Home Alone” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
