A Johnson County Police Chief Takes A New Post

(Keene, Tx) – The city of Argyle has announced their new police chief and he comes from a town in Johnson County.

Keene’s police chief, Emmitt Jackson, has been chosen to be Argyle’s new chief effective Jan. 2.  Jackson has served as Keene’s police chief since August 2017.  He tells the Cleburne Times Review “I’m very thankful for the time I’ve had serving the citizens of Keene,” he said. “This was the first opportunity I had to be a police chief and I’ll be forever grateful to Keene for that.”

Jackson said moving to Argyle will allow his family to live closer to where his family is from.
