Man Pulled Over With Almost 600 Pounds Of Meth In Car

(Denton, TX) — A 29-year-old man is being held at the Denton City Jail after being caught with almost 600 pounds of meth in his SUV.

Police found 12 containers of meth ranging in weight from 41 pounds to almost 54 pounds each inside the vehicle Adan Murga-Alvarez was driving. Troopers pulled him over because of a broken taillight on I-35.

Murga-Alvarez was booked on suspicion of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
