(Willow Park, Tx) – The City of Willow Park has installed outdoor warning sirens to alert residents in the case of severe weather.
The Weatherford Democrat reports the installation of the warning system was made a priority after a near miss in April 2019, when a funnel cloud went over the east side of the city. The city reportedly paid $138,665 for the turnkey system.
Notifications will come through the system when the National Weather Service issues a tornado warning or a severe thunderstorm warning that has potential to affect the community.
