Wise County Educator Accused Of Fatal DWI Hit & Run

(Reno, TX) – An assistant principal at Boyd High School has been arrested, for allegedly hitting and killing a man and then driving off.

38-year-old Kevin Evans is charged with intoxication manslaughter.  Police say he hit and killed 51-year-old Ernest Medley as Medley was walking along the Jacksboro Highway in the town of Reno.  Evans car was later spotted in Springtown and he was taken into custody but has since been released on $25,000 bond.  Reno Police say they got a call around 9:30 Wednesday night from someone who witnessed the hit and run.

Boyd ISD released a statement saying Evans has been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.  Before coming to Boyd, Evans was a teacher in the White Settlement school district.
