(Austin, TX) — Governor Greg Abbott is honoring the security guard who shot and killed a gunman during a church service in White Settlement.
The Governor’s Office said Jack Wilson will get the Governor’s Medal of Courage today. It’s the highest award given to civilians by the Governor. The Hood County resident leads a volunteer security team at the West Freeway Church of Christ.
On December 29th, Wilson shot dead the gunman who opened fire on the church congregation, killing two men.
