Arlington Man Shoots Dog Attacking Elderly Neighbor

(Arlington, TX) — An Arlington man is being credited with shooting a dog that was attacking his 73-year-old neighbor.

A pit bull attacked the woman on Sunday, and a second dog circled. The neighbor came out, pulled the dog off the woman, kicked it, and then shot it. The woman suffered serious bite injuries to her head and body. The neighbor asked to remain unnamed.

Animal services picked up the dogs, which were both still alive. Police say the dogs’ owner may face charges. The owner says they got out of the house by accident.
