(Weatherford, Tx) – A Weatherford man who repeatedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her cousin has convicted of stalking and sentenced to life in prison.

According to the Weatherford Democrat, 51-year-old Robert Thomas Wahl was sentenced as a habitual offender because he had numerous prior convictions, including indecency with a child, burglary, unauthorized use of a vehicle and theft offenses.  The case began in April 2018, when Wahl went to the woman’s home in Weatherford and wanted money for gas.  This was followed by hundreds of threatening phone calls, texts and dozens of emails.

The Parker County DA’s office says the case is believed to be the first jury trial for a stalking offense in Parker County.
