(Weatherford, Tx) – Wanda’s Restaurant has been a Weatherford landmark for the last 38 years.

It was shut down late last week by the State Comptroller’s Office for owing nearly $34,000 in unpaid sales tax revenue.  The Comptroller’s Office says Wanda’s permit was revoked back in December.  The restaurant, located on the Fort Worth Hwy in Weatherford, was famous for it’s Chicken Fried Steak.

The owner and namesake, Wanda Ogle, died last June.
