Quarantined Cruise Ship Passengers Fly Into San Antonio

(San Antonio, TX)  —  Some passengers from the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship are being taken in at Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland.

Two flights left Japan on Sunday, one on its way to California and the other headed for San Antonio.  Officials with Health and Human Services, the Defense Department, and the Centers for Disease Control announced the passengers will be quarantined at JBSA-Lackland for 14-days.

Anyone who tests positive for the coronavirus or displays symptoms will be moved to an off-base facility regulated by the CDC.
