(Cleburne, Tx) – Testimony is underway in the trial of a Cleburne man charged with aggravated kidnapping.

Prosecutors say 24 yr. old Juan Antonio Garza allegedly kidnapped his former girlfriend and drove her to Hillsboro in September 2018.  According to the Cleburne Times Review, a Hillsboro Officer spotted Garza’s parked car and when he came in contact, Garza ran off.  The foot chase was caught on the Officer’s body cam.  Garza was quickly apprehended and arrested.

He told police he just wanted to talk to the woman and would have eventually taken her back to her home in Cleburne.  The victim testified that she and Garza had dated for about six months but had broken up before the alleged kidnapping.
