(Wise County, Tx) – The man accused of stabbing a Lake Bridgeport woman multiple times and then setting her on fire, bonded out of the Wise County Jail Saturday on $250,000 bond.
Last July, 32-year-old Lauren Whitener was found dead in her Lake Bridgeport home, she had been fatally stabbed 18 times and set on fire while lying in bed. Whitener’s neighbor, Rodney Maxwell, was arrested two months later and charged with her murder.
A September 14th trial date has been set in the case.
