(Arlington, TX) — A statue of Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez is now in place outside the new Globe Life Field in Arlington.

The seven-foot bronze statue of the Hall of Fame catcher was unveiled on Wednesday outside the home-plate gate of the new stadium.  Rodriguez played 13 seasons for the Rangers, and the team retired his jersey number 7.

Pudge commissioned the statue some years back and decided to donate it to the park.
