Abbott To Announce State Guidelines For Closures Today

(Austin, TX) — Gov. Greg Abbott plans to make an announcement today on state policy concerning public gatherings, as well as operations of restaurants and bars.

A reporter asked the governor on Wednesday about the various local policies dealing with bar and restaurant closures during the coronavirus outbreak. Cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio have already ordered all dine-in areas closed for now.

Joining Abbott for the Arlington press conference were Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams and Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley.
