(Fort Worth, TX) — The animal shelter in Fort Worth has an emergency fostering program in effect during the coronavirus outbreak.
More animals are coming in and adoptions are down, leaving hundreds of dogs and dozens of cats in need of being adopted or fostered. Jessica Brown, the superintendent of the shelter, says they’re asking people to foster pets for a few weeks to ease overcrowding in the shelter.
The fostering process has been streamlined, and high-risk people who have to stay home can even have an animal delivered.
