NCAA Will Allow Spring Sports Athletes Additional Year

(Undated) — TCU catcher Zach Humphreys will have a decision to make, as will hundreds of NCAA spring sport athletes.

Humphreys was drafted in the 26th round last year by the Brewers, but elected to return to TCU for his senior season, which was shortened by the coronavirus outbreak. The NCAA voted to allow spring sports athletes, such as baseball, softball and outdoor track and field, an extra year of eligibility.

Winter sports, such as basketball and hockey, were not included.
