At Least 28 Texans Test Positive For Coronavirus After Mexico Trip

(Austin, TX) — More than two-dozen spring breakers from Texas are testing positive for coronavirus after returning from a trip to Mexico.

Officials in Austin said they were among a group of 70 young adults who traveled to Cabo San Lucas. The 28 patients are now self-isolating, and dozens more are “under public health investigation” as the pandemic continues.

UT officials have confirmed that many of the patients are students at the university.
