North Texas Hospitals Participate In Experimental Treatment

(Fort Worth, TX) — Several hospitals in North Texas are participating in an experiment to test a coronavirus treatment.

Some recovered patients are donating blood plasma, which will be given to other coronavirus patients in the form of transfusions. A strict vetting process is in place for people who get involved.

The experimental treatment was started last week with a patient on a ventilator at Texas Health Fort Worth. Officials are monitoring the patient for any signs of improvement.
