Texas Supreme Court Delays Evictions Until May

(Austin, TX) — The Texas Supreme Court is delaying evictions until after the end of the month.

Chief Justice Nathan Hecht signed the order today extending the original pause until at least May. Property owners may issue a writ of possession, but it cannot be posted on a property until May 7th.

The original moratorium was supposed to expire in mid-April.
