(Austin, TX)  —  NASCAR is going to return to Texas Motor Speedway.

Governor Greg Abbott announced Monday that he spoke with racing officials about an event in the near future although fans will not be in attendance.  Abbott says the race needs to be fanless because of coronavirus.

TMS GM Eddie Gossage says they are working on figuring out a hard date for the event and to give Americans a distraction from the pandemic.
