Burleson Man Arrested Following Standoff

(Burleson, TX) — A Burleson man is in custody following a standoff involving a burning RV.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office says William Sheid set the RV ablaze, then ran into his home near Burleson and refused to come back out. After a 3 hour standoff, he was eventually captured after tactical officers arrived on scene. Deputies did not reveal why the RV was set on fire only saying there had been a family dispute.

Sheid is accused of attempted murder, resisting arrest, and assault on a police officer.
