(Austin, TX) — Governor Greg Abbott says Texas is ready to move onto Phase Two of the state’s reopening process.

On Friday, bars can reopen at 25% capacity, and restaurants can increase capacity to 50%. Businesses including bowling alleys, bingo halls, zoos and aquariums can reopen on Friday as well.  Daycares can reopen immediately with some restrictions put in place.

The governor said capacity at non-essential retail stores must remain at 25% for the time being.  Youth sports and summer camps can begin on May 31st.  Pro sports, with the exception of hockey and soccer, can also resume at the end of the month.

Amusement parks, like Six Flags, may not reopen at this time.
