Abbott Reopens Water Parks, Food Courts, Drivers' Ed On Friday

(Austin, TX) — Gov. Greg Abbott is giving Texas water parks the green light to reopen on Friday with limited occupancy.

Abbott proclaimed on Tuesday the latest update loosening restrictions on businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Adult recreational sports venues, driver’s education programs, and mall food courts are also included in the latest phase of reopening. The governor suggested malls make sure there are employees patrolling food courts to clean and disinfect tables and make sure social distancing is practiced. He also ordered tables be put six feet away from each other.

For now, video arcades will stay closed.
