(Granbury, Tx) – The Granbury City Council got a look at the proposed 2020-2021 Fiscal Year budget at Monday Night’s budget workshop.

The Hood County News reports, city staff are calling for no property tax rate increase and no spike in utility fees despite the impact on the city’s sales tax-reliant revenue from COVID-19. The proposed budget is based on estimates and preliminary figures.  The city will not receive certified property values from the Hood Central Appraisal District until July 25th.

The city has been able to keep the property tax rate below 40 cents per $100 valuation for several years.
