Mom Arrested In Death Of Two-Year-Old Waco Boy

(Waco, TX) — The mother of the Central Texas toddler found dead in a Dumpster is now under arrest.

Waco police say Frankie Gonzalez’s remains were discovered in a dumpster by a church. His mother, 34-year-old Laura Sanchez has been charged with first-degree felony injury to a child. Investigators say she lied to officers when she claimed her son disappeared Monday afternoon after she had last seen the 2-year-old in a bathroom at a playground.

Sanchez reportedly told officers she hid Frankie’s body on Saturday after he died last week. A cause of death was not released.
