Cinemark, Studio Movie Grill Plan Reopening This Month

(Dallas, TX) — Two North Texas movie theater chains plan to reopen some of their theaters this month as coronavirus shutdowns are lifted.

Gov. Greg Abbott allowed theaters to reopen on May 1st, with pandemic protocols in place. Both Cinemark, based in Plano, and Studio Movie Grill, based in Dallas, decided to wait a bit before reopening.

Both companies say they will start reopening some of their theaters as of June 19th.
