(Dallas, TX) — The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission ran several raids over the weekend, pulling the liquor license and shuttering 12 bars across the state.
Three bars in North Texas had their alcohol permits temporarily suspended for 30 days, including the New PRs in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The TABC posted a video on Twitter of the large crowd at PR’s Saturday night.
The raids were all part of Operation Safe Open, which limits bars to 50% capacity indoors under Texas reopening guidelines.
An attorney for the New PR’s released a statement saying the Governor’s order was unconstitutional and that the bar was holding a fundraiser for the injured Fort Worth officer hit by the driver of a stolen car.
