(Austin, TX)  —  Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued an executive order that will close bars as of noon today and will reduce indoor dining capacity at restaurants to 50%.

The move is being made in an effort to curtail the spread of coronavirus.  Under the order, rafting and tubing businesses must close and outdoor gatherings of 100 or more people must be approved by local governments, with certain exceptions.

The 50% occupancy limit does not apply to outdoor areas, events or establishments.
