Reno Officer, Parker County Deputy Wounded In Shootout

(Reno, TX) — A Reno police officer and a Parker County deputy are recovering after being shot and wounded in Reno on Thursday night.

The shooting happened at a home near North Cardinal and Miller Road.  The Parker County Sheriff’s Office says the officers were responding to reports that a man had shot two of his family members.  The Reno officer was treated for a minor wound to the arm and released.  The deputy was shot several times and taken to a Fort Worth hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
