(Parker County, Tx) – A boil water notice has been issued by the city of Willow Park, after E. coli bacteria was found in the Willow Springs and Willow Springs Oak water supply.

On Sunday, residents were notified to boil their water before using.  The affected areas are south of I-20 between Russell Rd and East Bankhead Dr.  Bacterial contamination can occur when increased run-off enters the drinking water source, for example, following heavy rains or there’s a break in the pipes or a failure in the water treatment process.

The city says they hope to have the problem resolved in 48 hours.
