(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth bar is pushing back against the state’s order to close all bars during the pandemic.
Rail Club Live is one of more than 800 bars that opened illegally over the weekend as part of “Freedom Fest,” a nationwide protest against similar shutdowns. Co-owner Chris Polone’s liquor license was suspended earlier this month. He says it’s a double standard that restaurants that sell alcohol are allowed to be open.
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents visited the bar over the weekend, but didn’t close it down.
