Drowning Victim’s Body Recovered From Grapevine Lake

(Grapevine, TX) — Authorities recovered the body of a drowning victim from Grapevine Lake on Sunday afternoon.

Search crews retrieved the body of 36-year-old Stanley Walker of Desoto, who drowned off Murrell Park while swimming without a life jacket. The Grapevine and Flower Mound fire departments responded just before 3:30 p.m., assisted by Texas game wardens.

Investigators say it appears to be an accidental drowning.
