Tarleton State Cancels Fall Football

(Stephenville, TX) — Tarleton State will not play football this fall.

The Stephenville-based school announced their decision Monday citing the coronavirus pandemic. The Texans also cited decisions by the Big Sky Conference and Pioneer Football League to postpone their fall sports schedule. Football is set to start in the spring.

Tarleton officially joined the NCAA Division I, Western Athletic Conference on July 1st.
