Fort Worth Parents Protest In Favor Of Classroom Learning

(Fort Worth, TX) — A number of Fort Worth families are ready for school to start, and for their kids to be in the classroom.

About 100 people calling themselves Back to School Back to Safety protested outside the school district’s headquarters on Monday. They rallied for a choice between virtual or in-person learning. Monday had earlier been scheduled to be the first day of school, but the Fort Worth ISD postponed the start of the school year until after Labor Day because of the pandemic.

The district hasn’t set a date for the start of classroom instruction.
