(Hamilton, TX) — A North Texas police chief is under arrest for the continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Hamilton Police Chief Anthony Yocham was arrested over the weekend by the Texas Rangers and taken to the Johnson County Jail in Cleburne.  The charges were brought by the Somervell County Sheriff’s Office, where Yocham lives and the alleged sexual abuse took place.  As of Monday, Yocham was out of a job and is currently out of jail on a $500,000 bond.

The former Hamilton Police Chief made an unsuccessful run at the Republican primary race for Somervell County Sheriff last April.
