(Arlington, TX) — A former North Texas police officer is under indictment for the shooting death of a woman.
A Tarrant County grand jury approved criminally negligent homicide charges this week for Ravi Singh. He was the Arlington police officers who responded to a welfare check last year with body camera footage showing a dog rush towards him. Singh started shooting and one of the bullets hit and killed Margarita Brooks.
Brooks was the daughter of an Arlington fire captain.
