Doug Supernaw Dies After Battling Cancer

(Houston, TX) — The country music community is mourning the death of another icon.

Doug Supernaw passed away Friday at his home in Livingston after a 9-month battle with Stage 4 Lung and Bladder Cancer.  He was 60.  Supernaw is best known for his songs, “Reno,” and “I Don’t Call Him Daddy”, the song that won Song of the Year at the 1993 ACM awards as well as Top New Male Vocalist.

Several country artists, Doug Stone, The Oakridge Boys, Lee Greenwood and others paid tribute to the country singer on social media.
