(Fort Worth, TX) — The Fort Worth family of Allen Baird is announcing his death from the coronavirus.
Baird founded Mrs. Baird’s Bakery and grew it into a major North Texas business. He caught the virus about a month ago and died last week at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital at age 97.
Baird’s grandmother started baking in her house in 1908, using a wood-burning stove.
