Tarrant County Extends Mask Mandate Through End Of February

(Ft. Worth, TX) — Tarrant County Commissioners have extended its COVID-19 disaster declaration until February 28th amid a surge of new cases of the coronavirus.

The action extends Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley’s mask mandate for businesses until the end of February. County health officials have reported more than 11,000 new confirmed cases over the last week, with more than 1,700 recorded yesterday.

They say there are only about 36 ICU beds available in the entire county.
