(Austin, TX)  —  A Virginia pine from North Texas is on its way to Austin today to help the city get into the Christmas spirit.

The tree was grown in Denison, north of Dallas, and will take up residence outside the Texas Capitol.  Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials say they’ve been delivering Christmas trees to the Capitol for more than 40 years.
