(Dallas, TX)  —  Researchers are crunching the numbers to figure out if the Thanksgiving holiday will turn out to be a coronavirus superspreader event.

Prior to the holiday, health officials were worried about Thanksgiving family gatherings and crowds of Black Friday shoppers as cases of the virus surge in North Texas.  Dr. Rajesh Nandy of the University of North Texas Health Science Center says so far it looks like Black Friday was no big deal in terms of virus transmission.

He says they’re still working to measure the possible impact of Thanksgiving Day.
