(Cleburne, Tx) – The attorney for a former Cleburne doctor said he may move for a change of venue during a Thursday bond reduction request hearing in Johnson County District Court.
According to the Cleburne Times Review, Michael Heiskell, attorney for former doctor, John Dang, says the charges against his client may be too well known in Johnson County to afford him a fair trial. Heiskell would also like an April date set for Dang’s trial. Right now, jury trials have been on hold throughout Texas because of the pandemic.
Dang has been in the Johnson County Jail since 2018 in lieu of $1.5 million in bonds on multiple charges of sexual assault, sexual assault against children, insurance fraud and theft.
